The public input period for scoping has been open for 5 days and there are fewer than 150 comments so far. That number is destined to grow by April 30, the deadline to submit public comments. (Donlin Gold, another mine further along in the permitting process, received more than 2,700 comments during scoping. However, at 105 days, its scoping period was more than 3 times longer than the 30-day period set for the proposed Pebble project.)
Using tools at wordle.net, Pebble Watch developed this graphic overview of the comments currently on the site. This gives you a visual of common terms appearing in comments so far. (Larger font size = more frequently referenced). You can view detailed comments at the EIS site, and even search for specific terms.
