PLP to give EBD overview in Soldotna/Homer

According to a Homer News article, representatives from the Pebble Limited Partnership (PLP) are on the Kenai Peninsula today and tomorrow to present an overview of PLP’s Environmental Baseline Document (EBD). Scientists who contributed to the document will be available to answer questions as well.

  • Thursday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Kenai Peninsula College Commons, Soldotna
  • Friday: noon to 3 p.m. –  Cowles Council Chambers, Homer City Hall, Homer

PLP has already conducted similar meetings in Newhalen, Kokhanok, Nondalton, Port Alsworth, New Stuyahok, Igiugig, and Levelock, and will present in Dillingham on Saturday as part of the Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference.

About the EBD: The EBD consists of data collected in the Bristol Bay and Cook Inlet areas mostly from 2004-2008. Subject areas for study include physical and chemical environment, biological environment, and human environment. It is available online at www.pebbleresearch.com.
