Northern Dynasty Minerals stock fell sharply Tuesday in the wake of a negative report from a small investment company that questioned the economic viability of the company’s sole project, the proposed Pebble mine, in Bristol Bay, Alaska.
Developers of the proposed Pebble mine predict permits will be filed in 2017. Meanwhile, a renewal of an existing permit is delayed, and a bill is introduced that would require additional state legislative approval for large-scale mining in the Bristol Bay Fisheries Reserve.
